Zalala Fish Market

Zalala beach in Quilemane, Mozambique, turns into a fish market every day around 3pm when fishermen come back from sea laden with all sort of fish, including lobsters and prawns.

From boat to sand to a plastic bag as dinner in waiting.

People run to meet the pirogues before they even hit the beach. It’s mostly fishermen who’ve already parked their boats and merchants eager for first buying option.

About leratomogoatlhe

I fell in love with traveling Africa on a four day trip to Accra in 2006. I started my journeys around the continent in 2008, when I went to Senegal, and around West Africa to launch my dream of knowing Africa through all my senses. I have been to 24 countries (and counting) over five years of stopping everything in my life to focus on one phenomenal continent. #AfricaRocks.
